Goose and Duck hunting
Goose hunting in Iceland is a unique hunting experience. Hunting a wild goose in a spectacular and beautiful Icelandic environment is challenging for every hunter.
There are 5 different species of geese in Iceland: Greylag goose, Pink foot goose, Barnacle goose, White fronted goose and Brent goose. Three species can be hunted. The White fronted and Brent goose are protected.
Goose and duck hunting takes place on some of the best private properties in Þingeyjarsýsla and Eyjafjörður. The hunting areas are variable, hunting in grass, cornfield also by lakes and rivers. The hunters are accompanied by a guide the whole time and he picks the hunting areas and takes care of lining up decoys.
